New Player Levy from Autumn 2027

Diamond Valley Basketball Association (DVBA) has advised that a new Player Levy of $7.50 + GST per participant, per season will be introduced from Autumn 2027.

The levy will appear as a separate DVBA charge when you register for your team. It will apply to both the Autumn 2027 and Spring 2027 registrations.

DVBA scoresheet fees will remain unchanged throughout 2027, meaning the association will have held these fees steady for two years and four seasons. Charging the levy directly through registration also means clubs will not feel the impact as much as when scoresheet fees increase.

DVBA has advised that the levy will support the resources needed for child safety, member protection, behavioural management, increased court hire fees and the general administration of an association of its size.

We understand that household budgets are under pressure. DVBA’s approach aims to maintain these essential services while keeping basketball accessible and minimising the impact on clubs and their volunteers.

DVBA has also advised that Council court hire charges will increase considerably in 2028, requiring a future fee increase. Further details will be communicated ahead of that change.

Thank you for your continued support of the Rebelz Basketball Club and our basketball community.

Kind regards,
